Gnowsis Documentation
The new Gnowsisbeta Miniquire is much more simple than everything seen in former Gnowsis versions. It only consists of 2 panels: one for the global search and one (PimoOverview) to show all the classes and instances (aka Things) - even the hasPartOf-relations could be visualized there. A component still missing yet, namely the Context will be integrated there in future releases and that's it. No more eye-dazzling panels everywhere.
The PimoOverview consists of two parts. A nice toolbar on the top and a tree visualizing the actual selected view onto pimo. The toolbar includes the following features:
a dropdownmenu where you can select
whether the whole pimo (consisting of classes, Things and
hasPartOf) is shown or only a subset of these three options
a button to minimze
the tree to level 1. This means only the root node ant its children
are visible
a button to maximize the
tree showing every node and leave
a button to add a new class
(actualy it is a subClass)
a button to add a new Thing
a button to delete a class
or a thing
This should not be very new to you. You just enter a search String in the Miniquire global search and a new window pops up containing all the information Gnwosis could find about the piece of information you handed it. Everything is nicely rendered but yet not very useful because you can't do anything with this information (as a matter of course this will change very soon).
The menu provides the possibility to add new datasources or edit the existing ones. If you choose to add a new one, a nice little step-by-step helper guides you through this process. Another thing you can adjust here is thecrawling intervall.
